I got up early in the morning. I must say I never get up early. Usually I open eyes at 10AM. But that day I got up at 5AM. I felt great and didn’t want to sleep any more :) I decided to go to the countryside.

I took a ticket to ... I really didn’t know where to go so I have chosen a random train and left it at a random station one hour later. I must say it was pretty chilly – about 20F (-5C). Darkness covered the sky when I left the train. I decided to go down the small road.

It wasn’t scary to walk in the dark because of the first rays of rising sun. I kept going down the road. Snow was loudly crackling under my feet.

Suddenly the road made a hairpin turn and I got to a river and stopped. I couldn’t make a step! Absolutely beautiful view appeared in front of me! I saw a river. Charming river in the middle of the winter forest caught my imagination. The sun was reflecting in the water and in millions and millions snowflakes everywhere around me! The fog in the light pink and yellow colors of a rising sun stood still above the water surface. No wind. No sound. There was nobody but me watching the rising sun! It was a privilege to be in the forest at the sunrise!

In my painting I tried to explain what I saw, what I felt at that moment. I hope you will catch some fresh air of a chilly sunrise in the forest looking at my work.
